Robot

The application of harmonics in the robotics industry mainly consists of three parts: industrial robots, collaborative robots and humanoid robots.
Industrial robots can be further classified into small six-axis light-load robots, welding robots, palletizing robots and SCARA four-axis robots.

Industrial Robot

A small six-axis light-load robot

Small six-axis robots typically use a full harmonic solution for loads up to 7 kg. For loads between
7-25 kg, they employ harmonic reducers on certain axes, depending on factors like arm span and
working conditions.

Welding robot

Welding robots commonly use harmonic reducers for the fourth and fifth axes, and anti-backlash gear sets for the sixth axis. Some manufacturers opt for large hollow double-rigid gear harmonics for the sixth axis. Currently, Laifu holds the largest market share in the welding robot sector.

Palletizing robot

Compared to traditional four-axis palletizing robots, this new robot offers greater degrees of freedom and a broader range of applications. The market mainly features models with payloads between 20-50 kg, all using a full harmonic solution. Laifu leads the market, holding over 80% of the market share for this type of robot.

SCARA four-axis robot

SCARA four-axis robots typically use a full harmonic solution for load models ranging from 3 to 20 kg, placing high performance demands on harmonic reducers. Our company currently has a deep collaboration with Estun, the leading manufacturer in China, for this model.

Collaborative Robot

Collaborative Robot

Currently, all collaborative robots on the market rely on harmonic reducer solutions. These robots have payload capacities ranging from 3 kg to 40 kg, with the 5 kg and 10 kg models being the most popular.

Railway Harmonic is currently the second-largest player in terms of overall collaborative robot shipments.

Humanoid Robot

Humanoid Robot

Humanoid robots are an important field for harmonic reducers after industrial robots. Harmonic reducers are used in humanoid robots, robot dogs, as well as exoskeletons and wearable auxiliary material handling devices.

Our company currently has in-depth cooperation with humanoid robot companies such as Hangzhou Yushu, Shenzhen UBTECH and Shanghai Kepler.
