Joint Module

Simplify your motion control architecture with Laifual all in one actuator solutions. Whether you are designing humanoid robots requiring compact 48V DC drives with EtherCAT and CANopen, or high power industrial arms needing 220V AC performance with BiSS C feedback, we have the right fit. Our actuators integrate high precision harmonic gears with 17 bit absolute encoders, delivering repeatability of ±20 arcsec without the assembly overhead.

Precision Motion Control Solutions

A precision joint module converts electrical energy into exact rotational torque, serving as the muscle for advanced automation. Unlike bulky hydraulic or pneumatic systems, Laifual electric servo solutions deliver superior control through zero backlash harmonic gearing and 17 bit absolute encoders. This modular, high torque design reaches up to 1530 Nm, accelerating time to market. Built for robotics and machine tools, our actuators ensure reliable angular positioning without the maintenance of fluid power systems.

Precision Motion Control Solutions Joint Module — Product Overview

AC High Voltage — M Series

Compact design, high precision, and large hollow shaft structure. Runs on AC 220V. Connects to external servo drives via BiSS C or Tamagawa protocols. Built for high power industrial arms and CNC equipment. High Voltage M80D / M90D / M110D / M142D / M170D

DC Low Voltage — L Series

Energy efficient and scalable. Runs on DC 48V with built in servo drive supporting EtherCAT and CANopen. Plug and play for humanoid robots, collaborative robots and decentralized control systems. Low Voltage L70I / L80I / L90I / L110I / L142I / L170I

Self Manufactured Core Powerhouse

Laifual builds the entire powertrain in-house. This vertical integration guarantees synergy across every component. We pair our advanced strain wave gears with high efficiency frameless motors to create a unified system. These motors use high permeability silicon steel and high remanence magnets to maximize torque density.

Thermal stability comes from a specialized epoxy resin potting process applied to the stator. This technique improves heat dissipation and insulation over standard methods. Powered by an innovative servo drive with a 600MHz main frequency, the all in one solution delivers robust processing power and high dynamic

Closed Loop Control and Connectivity

Motion control requires more than mechanical strength. Our system uses advanced closed loop control to maintain precise position. Strong interference immunity, fully passing EMC Level 3 testing.

For connectivity, native support for EtherCAT and CANopen simplifies integration into complex robotic systems. Ultra low static power consumption at 100mA. Wide working voltage range from 2V to 5.5V. High precision control with minimal energy usage.

T Type Joints and Reliable Braking

The new T type joint module design delivers smoother, more precise performance for robotic articulation. Compact structure with a large hollow shaft for simplified cabling.

We use proprietary electromagnetic brake technology with advanced friction plate materials to lower noise and extend component lifespan. Brake coils also benefit from epoxy resin potting for superior thermal management. Reliable structural design that withstands continuous industrial operation with minimal temperature rise.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main difference is the power input and drive integration. The L Series operates on DC 48V and features a built in servo drive supporting EtherCAT and CANopen, making it ideal for humanoid robots and decentralized control. The M Series runs on AC 220V and connects to external servo drives via BiSS C or Tamagawa protocols, designed for high power industrial arms and CNC equipment.
Our DC type actuators (L Series) come standard with EtherCAT and CANopen for plug and play integration into modern automation networks. For the AC type (M Series), we support industry standard feedback protocols like BiSS C and Tamagawa, ensuring compatibility with most third party servo drivers.
Yes. We offer specialized T type joint modules engineered for robotic articulation. These units feature a compact, lightweight T shape design that optimizes joint movement range. Combined with zero backlash harmonic gearing and high torque density, they provide the smooth, precise motion required for 6 axis collaborative robots and humanoid systems.
Our actuators feature a large central hollow shaft. Engineers can route power cables, pneumatic lines, or laser signals directly through the center of the rotation axis. This simplifies wiring management, reduces cable tangling, and protects connections in complex rotating assemblies like indexing tables or robot wrists.
Our product range covers a wide range of torque requirements. The largest models (L170I and M170 Series) deliver a momentary maximum torque of up to 1530 Nm in a compact footprint.
